At J.W. Steel Fabricating Company, our safety culture is a steady journey of constant learning and continuous improvement that requires vigilance and investment.  

Our internal Safety Team ensures that our Workplace Safety Committee Certification is achieved annually through the PA Department of Labor and Industry and methodically maintains our continual compliance with Federal requirements:

• Safety Training: Mandatory on-site training is conducted by Nationwide OSHA Compliance Consultants on a quarterly basis.  
• Specific Safety Standards: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for eye, face, hand, and head protection.
• Electrical Safety and Lockout/Tagout: Procedures to protect against electrical shock during equipment maintenance.
• Welding, Cutting, and Drilling Safety Precautions
• In-House Forklift Operator Certification
• Cranes and Rigging: Proper operation and safety protocols for material handling.
• Fall Protection: Requirements to protect workers from falls.
• Inspections: To ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards.

With active memberships in the American Welding Society (AWS) and the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association (FMA), and long-standing membership in the Manufacturer & Business Association (MBA), J.W. Steel gains access to extensive resources that support welder training and certification, strengthen our in-house safety culture, and provide up-to-date industry information on hazards and risk control.
